0%
Fistula is present but no vaginal fecal leakage occurs.
10%
Leakage occurs less than once per week.
30%
Leakage occurs one to three times per week and requires wearing a pad.
60%
Leakage occurs four or more times per week (but less than daily) and requires wearing a pad.
100%
Leakage occurs at least once daily and requires wearing a pad.
Exam Tips & Key Evidence
- →Keep a log of leakage episodes with dates and frequency. This directly determines your rating level.
- →Document whether you need to wear pads or absorbent materials. The requirement for pads is part of the rating criteria at 30% and above.
- →If the fistula resulted from surgery, childbirth complications during service, or another service-connected condition, establish the connection clearly.
